Well, this welcome news came in towards the end of last week, and in the writing life, these moments are few and far between. They wouldn’t be special otherwise, I suppose. The circuitous journey Sandcastle and Other Stories has taken thrills me to no end, and I am proud to announce that my little book of psychological and suspense stories garnered a huge end-of-year pick by Suspense Magazine as one of their Best of 2013 books right alongside huge names in the writing world.
Suspense Magazine surveys the field, and contributors, writers, editors, fans, sit down and make decisions about the mysteries, thrillers, horror, short fiction, and non-fiction (films too) of 2013 to distill the many offerings into a cool list. I love reading the magazine, and my to-be-read file is larger because of them. The December issue will be out soon and to order a copy, to download online, or a print copy, please head on over to www.suspensemagazine.com. You can also subscribe and submit your own work/novels/short stories there. They even have a publishing department and accept manuscripts.
The other BIG NEWS is that the eBooks of Sandcastle and Other Stories and The Conversationalist will be discounted the entire week. The new sale price for both books? $2.99 . . . Sandcastle and Other Stories will go back up to $7.99 next Monday so please share the news with all of your suspense-loving readers and enjoy the tales. The $2.99 price for The Conversationalist will remain the same and not go back up.
