One of the most surreal moments of my life happened last year when the Green Darner Press publisher called and wanted to meet with me to talk about working together as a team to produce future work–the end result? Sandcastle and Other Stories.
Here is the new logo for Green Darner Press. The Green Darner is Washington State’s official insect.
The book is now in stock everywhere–sorry for the delay. Thank you for your patience. If you really want to help the book reach a new audience, please request the book through your local bookstores and tell them their readers will like the tales. Thank you, Justin
A milestone in my writing life happened yesterday: Green Darner Press published Sandcastle and Other Stories and I was able to hold the only copy, a proof copy, in my eager mitts. The book design beat any expectations I had in the build-up to the publication date. Holding a copy in my hands for the first time was a real wow moment I will never forget. The book should be available at your local bookstores within the next day or two so please keep requesting a copy at your local bookstores and libraries. Sandcastle and Other Stories is available at Amazon now as an ebook for kindle, and very soon should be available at Barnes and Noble for the nook readers, the iTunes Bookstore, and for Kobo readers by February 10th.
Click HERE to go see Amazon’s page if you’re interested in buying a copy of the Green Darner Press paperback version, or to order a copy there. It may say Temporarily out of stock, but when the book is uploaded at INGRAM, copies will become available to Amazon (and your local bookstores). The paperback book jacket is subtly different to fit the 8″X5″ dimension. Here is the new book cover:

I hope for many more milestone moments in and out of the writing life–and for you as well.
best,
Justin

Whoohoo! Wonderful news, Justin. So happy for you. It looks fabulous.
I can’t believe it, Jane. Do you remember that moment when you held the first copy of An Unfamiliar Murder? That is a great moment. Having fun today setting up signings and working on the next big thing.
This is wonderful, Justin. I want to be your book signing groupie and show up for all of them!
Okay, that would be awesome. We could do the On the Road trip all over the Pacific Northwest. Meet at Powell’s in February!
Wow it looks amazing, I’m sure it feels amazing, and you look amazing…kind of Don Johnson-ish 😀 Congratulations, proud papa!
haha, Dee. Must remember to shave tomorrow before swim class. Thank you very much.
It looks GREAT! Congrats!
Yay, Susi! I’ve missed you . . . I hope you are well and enjoying your writing life to the fullest. Best wishes and thank you thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Coud NOT be more proud of you, my dear friend. Can’t wait to buy my own NEW copy!
hugs,
Rachel
Thank you, Rachel. It’s nice to be in sync. I hope you like the “physical” copy as much as I do.
WOT … that must feel really good Justin … to be able to hold your dream in your hands !!!
To many more my friend, to many more books, and dreams …
Staury 🙂
Best to you and your family, Staury. You are part of this dream, and I thank you.
Hope you’re bringing some to Dallas! Ebooks are nice, but there is nothing like the feeling of holding a real book in your hands with your name on it. Congrats my friend!
I will definitely be bringing copies for you and all the rest of our curious cabal — I couldn’t agree more. I was trembling…barely noticeable, with happiness. Thank you always, Michelle.
Just putting in my order. Congratulations on being a PRINT published author. You look great holding the book!

I needed a shave and a haircut and more wine, definitely. That was a fun evening with just Stacey and I. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the book when it arrives. Thank you, eden, for your support.
I’ll be reading it and sipping scotch, will send you a pic! xo

Oh, please please. That would be so cool. I will include the photo in an upcoming blog post on the book, and happy reading. I drank a nice Port last night. Very smooth and rich.
Congratulations, Justin. It looks great. I haven’t read it yet, but I will. Cheers!

Thanks, Jimmy. I loved putting this book together. Hope you fall for them too.
