Well, this curious day has finally arrived: my second publication, The Conversationalist, a literary suspense eNovella, was published this very morning by Green Darner Press.
The Conversationalist is a tale of yearning, a family struggle, a secret, attraction denied, and the singular dating style of a resident of Fidalgo Island with the name of Patrick. The story begins inside a busy seafood restaurant, where a couple is trying to get to know each other . . . for better or worse. We’ve all known people like them and I wanted to make the characters as normal as possible so that the narrative remains believable. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
Included in the eNovella is a Foreword by Rachel Thompson, author of Broken Pieces, and the BONUS short story, Mothers of Twins, from Sandcastle and Other Stories, my first book.
Seeing people reading my fiction is a wonderful joy, and hearing from readers is always the best moment in any writer’s life. Please let me know what you think either here in the comments below or out in the social media universe. Writing a review for any author, especially if you like the story told, is treasured.
Best to you in your own reading (and writing) life,
Justin
